The Coquille Native American Tribe recently purchased land in Medford Oregon in which they intend to use to build and develop a new Oregon Casino.
To date, the Coquille Indian Tribe has bought two properties both located on South Pacific Highway the first, Roxy Ann Lanes was purchased for a total of $1.6 million. The second property was formerly Kim’s Restaurant, which the tribe picked up for $675,000.
It’s been reported the the Indian Tribe paid cash for both properties and is now planning to place the property, with the permission of the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs, into a United States Government Trust.
Once the properties are placed into the U.S Goverment held trust, the Tribe can move forward and begin the process of converting the property into tribal reservation land.
In addition to the two purchased properties, the tribe has also leased the adjoining golf course.
