Wildhorse casino Resort and RV park is located in the desert portion of Eastern Oregon in Pendleton. The casino is about 45 minutes from the Washington Border, 10 minutes from a local Wal-Mart, and Sheri’s restaurant, and, nowhere near a Walgreen’s.
Oregon’s Wildhorse Resort and Casino opened its doors in 1995 and is owned and operated by the Confederate Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. It is located on the Umatilla Indian Reservation, just five miles east of Pendleton. Whether you are looking for a night of gambling, a vacation with the family, a boy’s golf weekend or to learn more about the traditions of the Walla Walla, Cayuse and Umatilla tribes, you’re likely on the right track. If you’re looking for a Las Vegas super casino, well keep on driving, this aint Vegas baby!
The casino is however open 25 hours a day. It includes your choice of five restaurants, and weekly live entertainment in the Wildhorse Sports bar. The sports bar livens up quite a bit on the weekends, however, since the casino has banned employee’s, it’s pretty dead on the weekdays at current. That might change as we head deeper into the summer months.
Wildhorse Casino Golf Course
The casino offers golf fans an 18-hole championship golf course. It’s not an overly fancy golf course, but it does offer a few challenging holes even for the experienced golfer. For the most part, as you’ll find with most tourist-like course’s, everyone’s pretty friendly as long as you follow a bit of golf course etiquette.
TIP: Wildhorse casino is in the desert, expect it to be HOT in the summertime.
The 18 hole golf-course was designed by John Steidel, it opened initially in 1997, and is pretty well taken care of. The courses head pro is Mike Hegarty.
Wild Horse Casino Cineplex
In 2011 Wildhorse Casino opened a 5 screen theater that features two 3D movie screens. It’s a very nice, and spacious theater. It’s pretty. The seats are the rocker type of movie theater seats, so they’re super comfy. They offer lots of leg room, and movable armrests.
The new Tower Hotel at Oregon’s Wildhorse Casino
This is where you want to stay if you’re booking a room. If you can afford the stay, or get a deal, GO FOR IT. You do not want to be in the 20 year old courtyard suites. The brand new Tower Hotel is updated with flat screen televisions, mini refrigerators, comfy new beds, etc. Not all rooms come with an actual tub however, so if you’re looking for that luxurious bubble bath, and not the huge shower experience, be sure to specify upon registration.
1200 Slot Machines at Wildhorse Casino
The casino recently underwent a massive 25,000 square foot remodeling effort, that included the addition of several slot machine games, where slots fans used to find 800 slot games to choose from, they are now treated to 1200 slot machines located throughout the casinos smoking and non-smoking areas.
Wildhorse Casino Live Dealer Games
If you prefer table games such as Craps, Roulette or Blackjack, you will be pleased to read that Wildhorse Casino offers American Roulette, Double Deck Blackjack and Craps at low to middle stakes. There’s a little something unique about the craps table at Wildhorse too. A field bet pays triple on 12, instead of the standard double that is usually paid out on 2 and 12. A 2 still pays double, but, that’s a tiny bit of edge returned to the player.
If none of those casino games are the kind of gambling you are looking for, perhaps you would like to check out the Wildhorse Casino’s poker room where you will find scheduled tournaments weekly with special monthly tournaments as well as daily ring games.
Major Poker Events at Wildhorse Casino

Games are not all Wild-horse has to offer, the casino offers a truly luxurious swimming pool, dry sauna, and hot tub with tons of natural light, lounge chairs and towels. There’s no dressing room to speak of, however there’s a rest room just outside of the pool area. The water in the hot tub actually gets warm, often times hot tubs are more an icky Luke-warm for safety reasons. That’s not the case here.
If you want an outdoor experience, you can bring your tent or RV, or rent one of their TiPi’s and enjoy a night under the stars. The Wildhorse Casino and Resort RV Park is located between the casino and golf course and offers 100 RV spaces as well as many tipi and tent spaces.
